The May Day “Mayday” Festival is being organized to raise awareness of the issues facing working people today and to promote solidarity not only across labor unions but between all people who work to provide for their families. Considering this purpose, we are proud to have the support and partnership of our brothers and sisters from the Long Island Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO.
This event is a wholly non-profit endeavor open to the general public, with all net proceeds going to fund charitable causes—from scholarships for union members and their families, to promoting union organizing and activism, to putting food on our neighbors’ tables by supporting Long Island Cares: The Harry Chapin Food Bank.
We are your friends, family members, and neighbors. Come join us for a great day of live music, award winning craft beer, local Long Island wine, and a multitude of diverse food truck options all amidst the bucolic scenery of Suffolk County’s Southaven Park.
